Cruise Around and Be A Star with BLAVERRY
This week's tour is called Cruise Around and Be a Star, and features the new an improved Cruise Chinos and Star top. You will love these, I promise. Christie is an amazing designer and has so many chic and versatile patterns. Make sure you check out everything she has to offer.
My little mademoiselle is the lucky lady I'm sewing for this week. She desperately needed some new/girl shorts and tops, as she's been wearing her brothers' hand-me-downs. This pattern combo of the Cruise and Star was just the ticket! It's such a clean, classic look, far from the boys cargo shorts and dirt stained firetruck shorts she's been wearing.
The Star is a boatneck top with three different sleeve lengths. I chose the elbow length for my little Parisian girl. The fit of this shirt is great, it's fitted, but not overly tight. She's wearing a size 4 and it is long enough and has enough ease, that I think she will be able to wear it through fall and possibly winter. And the boatneck is just gorgeous. I love the way it shows off her little neck. This is a quick and easy sew. It cam together so quickly that it would be silly not to make another one... or three.
The Cruise Chinos may be my most favorite make of the entire summer. They turned out even better than I had imagined. They are so perfect! I mean, check out the details on these things!
The pattern features slant front pockets, rear welt pockets, belt loops, and functional zip fly with snap closure. They also have an adjustable waistband with buttonhole elastic so they perfectly and have room to grow. I am so pleased with these! Did I mention that you can make them in 5 different lengths!?!? Can you even imagine all the possibilities?! I am making a pair of capri length next. They're going to be amazing!
Now, please enjoy a picture overload.
Cruise Around and Be A Star has made a few stops prior to my little blog. Please take a few minutes to check out all the other lovely creations on the tour this week:
OMG, she has to be the cutest little fashionista around. That outfit is stunning! It will be a challenge to get anyone to believe it was handmade and not store purchased. ;)
